Night Owling

Wow, it’s been so long since I last blogged. Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

So some of you might have noticed a change, namely that I’ve gone over to the dark side and joined the Blues. For the past two years I’ve worked as a Commie and it’s pretty much been my calling. It was what I was best at - mediating problems, managing members, enforcing the rules, et cetera. But as of late I’ve had a change of heart.

R.I.P Quality

Filed under: Fluff — OcelotJay @ 11:25 am

I just saw this on a forum I frequent - well, I frequent the website, I occasionally venture into the forums.  It was a topic about The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion but somebody leaped on the chance to take the mick (the original poster felt he was qualified to answer any question, so someone asked “any question” - not relating to Oblivion).

OK really funney but guess what im gonna answer all of them. I think gays can be bonded but unfortunatly the word marrigae means the formal union of a man and a woman, typically recognized by law, by which
they become husband and wife. (Oxford American Dictionary) I feel that the redefining of this word is unjust and should not be changed. Gays can be boned but they can not be married. Women deserive to have as many rigths as men unfortunatly, although we do not want to admit it, men do treat women differently. In the work place but also in many pirvate areas of life. Do you ever see male babysiters? Male nurses (meet the fockers doesn’t count). Women are treated diferently. But on the side of men i must say the many femenist bitchs talk about womens rights but when they piss off a dude that guy cant beat the **** out of her like he would do with another guy, equal rights all around? I think not. Abortion is a touchy issue, and ill end it in one sentace, its a child not a chioce. Snakes on a plane will suck but i bet 90% of people in this forum will see it. Myself included. The War in Iraq has many faces. I think that America had an obligation to go there. Sadam Hussan was an evil man. He torchered the people of Iraq and should have been put out of power. But, what of the wepons of mass destruction? I would say that they did exites but a commonly over looked fact is that UN inspecters gave him a year to get rid of them. He also would not let people in his contry to inspect. So if he did not had them he miss lead them to believe he did. And lets not forget about 9/11. Sadam harbored terrorists in Iraq and getting rid of him was a move to prevent more terrorist acts in America. Ceasefire in the middle east never last long enough, like Cepple Show or South Park, or those percieous moments that we share with friends and family.

The bold bit gave me the giggles :P but by Satan what a dreadful post in general.  And this from one of the longest running (since ‘94/5) gaming sites with a fairly respectable reputation and extensive history and archive on TES.   Oh well, quality never was prevalent I guess.

I haven’t done much of anything lately.  I wasn’t feeling brilliant yesterday but it’s a tad depressing when being ill is the highlight of your month.  I’m not feeling myself admitedly.  I don’t know what it is but I’m just feeling distant.  I had a five day weekend, which should have been fantastic, but I spent much of it in bed.  And not in the good way either.  Man was I tired.  And I just haven’t had the heart to do much of anything.   Maybe I’m just having an off week.

Hmm.  Perhaps a rant about small children would cheer me up.

Filed under: Fluff, Life — OcelotJay @ 6:07 am

It’s half-five in the morning, I’m utterly exhausted and yet sleep seems a lifetime away. Thank goodness I don’t have work tomorrow, I’d be a wreck.

Unfortunately Shiva’s condition (and Wolf’s continuous crying) has kept me up the past few nights, not that I grudge either. It’s not their fault. I just wouldn’t mind some rest during normal hours.

Shiva’s condition hasn’t really improved. It hasn’t gotten that much worse either but it’s not a good sign, although given the situation I’m not entirely sure why I’m searching for “good signs”; there are no such things when it comes to terminal illnesses. I should know that by now. Still, I count myself as fairly rational and quite a logical-thinking person and yet here I am doing the utmost to defy all rationale and logic. I am enslaved to humanity and am bound by cruel emotions. No matter how hard I try to be “unhuman”, no matter what I do to avoid this sort of nonsense, I can’t seem to escape it. I suppose I prize my mind too highly and think myself able to separate my mortality from my psyche. Apparently not so.

I’m missing Ryan already. Oh, he’s the new fella in my life. I mentioned him a while back, about the date I was going on. I’m surprised I didn’t blog about what happened - probably too busy nattering to Kylie about it. Ah yes, just checked my blogs. He’s also the one I mentioned in December - the youngest of the new neighbours. I can confirm that he is indeed a year younger (bastard!) so it’s all cool. Or cool beans. Is that the hip word? I can’t keep up. Anyway, he’s really sweet. We’ve only been seeing one another since January 15th (see, blogs are good for something; I’m usually hopeless with dates) but I feel like I’ve known him a lifetime. We have many similarities - we enjoy dark humour, we’re both quite sarcastic and he’s playful - as well as a fair few differences - he’s sporty, I’m not; he likes swimming, I don’t; he prefers cats, I beat him for being a fool - but I think I actually like our differences. Something nice about it. He plays football a fair bit and it’s nice to go and watch him. Sure, the game bores me to death but it’s not about that. And there’s something about a sweaty man in shorts. ;) He’s currently out of the country and yeah, I can’t deny it sucks not having him here. I’ve got Mark and Meryl but I’m sure you know it’s not the same. Besides, they have lives of their own - not that Ryan doesn’t or that I’d expect him to be here but…eh, I dunno. I’m not sure what my point was/is. Just waffling I guess.

I’m drained already. I honestly don’t know how I’m going to cope with everything that’s yet to come. I still have to face the inevitable decision to put Shiva to sleep and the coming memorials won’t be easy. I’m going to lose a lot of sleep over this next month. Maybe I should ask my GP for something to help me along. It’s just that my head buzzes so much that I can’t sleep; it’s like that little voice just kicks in and that’s it. I can only sleep when it decides to shut up, and given everything that’s happening it’s more active than ever. Honestly, my own head drives me insane at the best of times but this is just ridiculous. And the worst part of it all is that you can’t escape yourself (without the use of powerful sleep inducing drugs or a hard, brick pillow).

Ugh…it’s six now. I can hear the birds outside. Satan give me strength…

The problem with the gene pool is that there’s no life guard…

CAN. YOU. READ. THIS?

Oh good. For a moment I was worried that I was perhaps speaking in tongues. Lately I’ve found myself having to repeat what I say over and over again in different ways just to get through to that vacant organ people keep in their rat’s maze of a head. Now I’ve debated with the terminally thick since I first came online but lately it’s as if people are just becoming more and more lazy to the point they just overload, shut down and stop listening to everything everyone else says. Is Bill Gates multiplying or something?

Muslims are a thing of the past

Filed under: Fluff — OcelotJay @ 1:53 pm

In terms of terror suspects that is.  It seems that rather than waste time picking people out who look remotely Muslim (which has suddenly become less of a religion and more of a race it seems), when it comes to boarding planes the real bastards are people who wear clothing that may “offend other passengers or threaten security.“  I don’t know about you but a t-shirt proclaiming George Bush to be a terrorist isn’t exactly a serious issue, let alone one enough to throw someone off a plane - and apparently previous flights agree.

What amuses me is that little addition - “offen other passangers or threaten security“.

Sticks and stones anyone?

Weird.

I have new neighbours…

Filed under: Fluff, Life — OcelotJay @ 10:47 am

…and the youngest brother (roughly my age, maybe a year or two younger) is the secks. They’re moving in today so I only had time for a quick “how do you do” this morning.  Can’t wait to get introduced properly, they seem like nice people, which makes a pleasant change from the folk here who seem to all be hybrid love-children of Ann Widdecombe and George Galloway, with a little bit of David Cameron thrown in for good measure.  Two brothers, their sister and a friend in the flat opposite.  Here’s to hoping for sane people. ;)

Crazy Lady!

Filed under: Fluff — OcelotJay @ 11:16 am

Some people shouldn’t be given matches becuase they’re likely to burn things, some people shouldn’t be given sharp objects because they’re likely to stab things, and others shouldn’t be given positions of importance in the community because they’re completely insane.

“Heather Norton, for the GMC, said: “It was made clear to Dr Pratt by Mrs K that she had concerns about the size of her stomach and about bleeding and pain she had previously experienced.” Dr Pratt’s response was to tell her to take holy water and see some priests.”

Well, to be fair, the UK’s admission statement doesn’t include sanity as a prerequisite. Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

I haven’t blogged since ever. It’s not for the want of trying; I have so many drafts it’s ridiculous. Just too lazy. =D Still I’m off in two weeks time for the whooooooole week, so yay! Figured you’d best know I’m still alive so here I am, blogging. I’m so cool I just r0×0rz j00r b0×0rz, don’t I?

Seems S1 had a bad case of the hiccups and finally collapsed, but Brandon’s helping it back up on its feet. He makes a fine Mother Hubbard. ^_^ Just don’t ask him for candy. ;) Naturally some are disgruntled but I think the panic levels are surprisingly low. When we do routine maintenence or a sever goes down for a while - as is natural - people run around screaming that it’s the end of the world but given that this is on something of a bigger scale (not that it’s more damaging but that it was a) Server 1 - da muvver srvr, 2) more than just routine downtime and iii) it affected three of the most prominent boards) things are unnusually serene

Maybe someone’s fed them tranquillisers, I dunno. Could be the Red Box. It does have a certain smell of sensible authority about it. Or maybe I’ve just been sniffing Seth too much.

Well, what you call a crash I call time off. Hurrah! :D
